Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Cowabunga and Junior karting parties?

Cowabunga parties are for children aged 4-8 (under 1.3m) and run on our new PMG Kids World track — except the Cowabunga Ultimate Party, which runs on the main multilevel track. Junior parties are for children aged 8-14 who are over 1.3m tall, and run on the main track.

Is it safe?

We take safety seriously at PMG Karting World. Our party packages include a full in-depth safety briefing for juniors ages 8-14. For younger Cowabunga racers we allow 5 minutes prior to each session to put seatbelts on and check they understand the pedals and track rules.

Do I need to buy any of the safety equipment?

All of our party packages include everything your child needs to race safely. This includes: balaclavas & helmets for the Cowabungas and balaclavas, helmets, gloves and a racesuit for the Juniors.

How many children can I book for?

Junior parties require a minimum of 6 children. Cowabunga Race and Action parties require a minimum of 4 children with up to 6 on track at one time. Cowabunga Ultimate parties (on the main track) require a minimum of 8 children. There's no maximum — we can cater for large groups by running additional sessions, just call us!

What food options are available?

You can choose between a Cold Buffet OR a Pizza Platter for each child, served with unlimited squash. The cold buffet includes a sandwich (ham or cheese), crisps, sausage rolls, chicken nuggets and carrot sticks. Please let us know of any allergies or dietary requirements upon booking.

How do I get their camera footage?

Helmet cameras are included in the Cowabunga Ultimate Party and Junior Action/Ultimate Parties. After racing, each child's QR code is collected and labelled, and the lead parent receives all codes with an unlock code so each parent can easily scan, enter their email, and get their footage.

How long are the parties and when should we arrive?

All parties are required to arrive 30 minutes before the session booking time to ensure plenty of time for briefing, getting the children kitted up and ready to race. On average the parties last 2 hours.

Can I bring my own cake and decorations?

You are welcome to bring a cake, we just ask that you allow our kitchen team to cut it up for you to prevent knives in the customer area. Balloons and decorations for the table are lovely but please ensure there are no loose items that could go onto the track.

Is there a party area?

Yes! We have a mezzanine with a dedicated table for each party. This is also a great viewing platform for parents to watch their children race around the track.
